What hours will the tent be available for use?

Your beach tent will be set-up by 10:00am. Tear down begins at 5:00pm, pending weather.

Should I tip the crew that puts up our tent?

Yes! Tips are welcome and appreciated!  Our Cabana Crew (made up of mostly local high school and college students) work hard through extreme heat, wind and storms to make sure your vacation is enjoyable as possible.  Feel free to call us with a credit card or tip with cash on the beach.  Tips are divided between the crew that works on your tent. 15-20% of your order is a typical gratuity.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Summer weather in the South is often unpredictable. We make every effort to make sure your tent is available for use from 10 am – 5 pm, but weather events may shorten the day and sometimes interrupt service. We closely monitor weather throughout the day (and night) and make decisions based on several different sources of information. Our priority is the safety of our customers and our staff and to protect the equipment, so you will have a beach tent for the duration of your stay.

Is there any reason that service would be cancelled for the day?

If there is a large weather event, services may not be offered for safety reasons. You will be notified if such an occasion occurs.

What about windy conditions? Does that impact service as well?

Wind can be the biggest impact to service. We have chosen our distinct tent style, because we’ve found it to be durable and absorb windy conditions much better than standard “pop-up” tents. Even with that advantage, winds of 15-20 mph can impact service. However, with the amount of sand blowing on the beach at those wind-speeds, most of our customers find it more pleasant to spend the day off the beach.

Does a rainy forecast mean the tent will not be put up?

No! We will make every effort to make sure your tent is available for use from 10 am – 5 pm. We closely monitor weather throughout the day (and night) and make decisions based on several different sources of information.

If service is cancelled Due to weather, is there a refund?

Our weekly rate is built with a sizable discount to cover any cancellation issues due to weather. With a weekly rate, there are two free days compared to the daily rate. If there is a named weather event that disrupts service for more than 2 days, please contact Cabana Boy. If you have paid a daily rate for your tent service, you will be issued a refund for any days with zero service time because of weather.

what happens if our plans change?

Customer cancelations will be issued a credit towards a future service date.  Credit will be issued for the full amount of purchase.  Customers can redeem the credit for 1 calendar year.  Credits are transferable.

what happens if rule changes of beach constuction impacts my location?

For disruptions in services due to changes in community policy, governing body ordinances, construction on walkways/beaches, etc.,  Cabana Boy will offer an alternate location to service your group.  The customer may decline the option and will be issued a full credit towards a future service date. Customers can redeem the credit for 1 calendar year.  Credits are transferable.

How do I get our tent set up in a specific spot on the beach?

To ensure an exact placement of your tent, you can keep an eye out for the Cabana Crew and point out where you’d like your tent. Ours crews are out every morning from 7:30-9:30 am.
